Lamination and full flood UV-varnish
Leave 5mm space to every edge of the sheet. In the full flood UV-varnish you need to leave 9mm space at the start of the sheet due gripper margin. The space can be plain white or printed surface. We recommend using silicone-free coating on the printed surface to reduce risk of delamination.
UV-spot varnish
Send the UV-spot varnish area in 1:1 PDF file. Use black or other spot colour as varnish area and use white backround. The minimum distance from the start of the sheet and varnish area is 15mm due gripper margin.
The minimum line widths depend on substrate, but the following design rules can be applied:
– normal spot-UV 200µm
– relief-spot UV 500µm
– glitter or sand effect 800µm
Note: the minimum line widths are bigger than above in special materials such as uncoated paper and cardboard or embossed surfaces.

Hot foil stamping and emboss/deboss:
Send us the area to be embossed/debossed in positioned 1:1 PDF-file. Use black or other spot colour as embossing area and white as background. The minimum distance of embossed/debossed area from the start of the sheet is 15mm due gripper margin.
The recommended minimum line widths depend on substrate and end product, but the following design rules apply to most cases:
– emboss/deboss 2 x thickness of the substrate
Note: the minimum line widths for special materials, such as uncoated paper and cardboard or embossed materials are bigger than mentioned above. We are more than happy to guide you in this matter.
